First Church is a great place for kids to experience and learn God’s love. A variety of programs and activities grab kids’ interests and get them involved in what it means to live their faith.
Children’s Sunday School
Grades pre k-5th at 9:00 a.m.
We currently use the Living Inside Out curriculum by Group Publishing. This is a large group/small group model. Grades pre k through 5th meet together in a large group for singing, skits, videos, or games for about 15 minutes. WOW!
Then, the large group splits into small groups following these classifications: pre k, grades K-2, and grades 3-5 for the remainder of
the Sunday school hour. POW!
The children explore the Bible through themes correlated to stories of the Bible. It’s awesome–join the fun.
JAM-Jesus and Me
Wednesday nights at 6:15 p.m.
During the school year, the children meet at 6:15 for JAM…Jesus and Me! This time is a rotation model in which children participate in choir, Bible story, and an activity related to the story. Children age 3 years through fifth grade are invited to attend. Nursery is provided as well as adult Bible studies.
This fall, JAM will focus on the Fruit of the Spirit. The time is immediately following the Prime Time Wednesday Fellowship dinner, so come with the family, enjoy a meal, then JAM it!
