Appalachian Outreach
AO is a covenant ministry partner with First Church. It serves the local community in many ways, including a home repair ministry, a shelter and ministry center for families in need, a food pantry, a clothing (and household goods) ministry, a computer ministry, among others. The Rescue Ministries is an international covenant ministry partner with First Church. It seeks to rescue abandoned and orphaned children in the Philippines and operates Wesley Home for Youth in Liloan on the island of Cebu. Knit Wits — when someone is in need of comfort and a reminder of God’s presence around them, the Knit Wits are ready to offer hand-made prayer shawls. Financial support opportunities: Sometimes plugging in with time is a challenge. The opportunity to support missions financially is a viable alternative and/or supplement for being involved.
